“IMPROVISE take : 2” is my second attempt to create drawings in one go. I tried first in 2012 but in much smaller sizes and with a thinner pen tip. This time, I have tried to create ten drawings of arguably ten best jazz musicians, all in one continuous stroke, in bigger sizes (22 in X 30in each) and bolder strokes with waterproof ink on archival acid free paper. I quite like to see and hear how musicians come on to stage to perform live and improvise without any per-planning to create some beautiful pieces of music. My inspiration is sourced from here only, without pre-planning or any scope of redoing and thinking about how will it shape up, as they say “do it, just take it as it comes”.
